Mid-America Open Results

CDGC's 27th Annual Mid America Open was another chain banging success! The weather was hot, but 134 brave players registered to try to slay the courses and competition in the raging mid-Missouri heat. Congratulations to Fred Garver, our official 2011 Men's Open Champion! Fred whooped up on the courses and competition all weekend long, finishing with a 12 stroke lead at an impressive 26 under par.

Other divisional winners include Cory Hill in Open Women, Phil Bates in Masters, Steve Fisher in Grandmasters, Nils Nordgren in Advanced Men, Minna Dennis in Advanced Women, Curtis Simmons in Advanced Masters, Russ Toelke in Advanced Grandmasters, Jake Squires in Intermediate, Melissa White in Intermediate Women, Jim Nelms in Recreational, Alicia Mathis in Recreational Women, and Dominick Berck in Juniors. In addition to the competition, the players and staff enjoyed a great spread of hot food, cold beer, side games, and friendly atmosphere that has come to mark our annual player's party on Saturday evening. Thanks to all the sponsors and competitors that make this event special every year. And, saving the best for last, a hearty thanks to all the TD's, spotters, scorers, and other volunteers who made this event possible. Without them, the MAO just wouldn't be.
