Bluebird Series Do you need an excuse to find and play all the disc golf courses in Mid-Missouri?  Well, the Bluebird Series / Mid-Missouri Tour is all the reason you need.  This is the first time Columbia has participated in a tournament series, and it's all due to the initiative of Mike Bork and Bill Cobb in Moberly.  Here's how it works. Anyone interested in participating pays $10 to "buy into" the tour.  For $10 you select a division (open, 3 different amateur divisions, or a novice division) and receive a numbered bag tag and a premium custom-stamped disc.  The $10 benefits the Missouri Parks and Recreation Association (MPRA) and allows you to play in any or all of the five "local" qualifying tournaments.  Earn points at each of the local tournaments to qualify to play in the championship tournament on October 30, 2010 in Marshall.   The local tournaments are scheduled as follows: August 7 Columbia Albert Oakland Park August 28 Jefferson City Binder Lake September 11 Fulton Veteran's Park October 2 Moberly Rothwell Park October 9 Mexico MacMillan Park October 30
Championship Marshall Indian Foothills Park
There also will be a fee to play at each of the local tournaments ($5, $10, or $15, depending on division) with that fee benefitting the local club, MPRA, and EDGE with the remainder used for the local tournament winnings and a portion held for the championship winnings pool.  The top 8 players in each division will be eligible to play in the finals in Marshall on October 30th. Download the flyer for more information or check results on the Missouri Parks and Recreation Association web site.
Mid-Am 2010 The 26th Annual Mid-America Open will be held July 10-11, 2010 in Columbia Missouri.  BYOP Doubles are scheduled for Friday, July 9th with a 1:00pm tee time.
Road Trip to Horseshoe Canyon Seven Columbia area disc golfers recently made the 250 mile trek to Jasper, Arkansas to play in the Horseshoe Canyon Ice Bowl.

Welcome to the Columbia, Missouri Disc Golf Club website.  Columbia is home to three popular disc golf courses, and the front course at Albert Oakland Park was the second permanent basket course in the state.

The club sponsors several signature events throughout the year including the Mid-America Open, Twenter Memorial Club Championship, and the (first ever) Ice Bowl.  We also feature seasonal league play, moonlighters and participate in numerous charity events.

Be sure to explore the rest of the  website and feel free to leave comments, see what's happening on the message boards and check out the club's upcoming events.  We truly hope you can come out and play all three of our great courses.  Enjoy the weather and this great game!
